Greatest Sidekicks

Tonto
The most underestimated sidekick of them all. He always got "The Lone Ranger" out of trouble. Yet for some reason the show wasn't called Tonto! I like all of my friends at that age never knew what Kemosabi actually meant. For all we knew Tonto might have been calling him "Stupid one who can't stay out of trouble!" But it didn't matter, there he was good old Tonto to the rescue every time!
Boo boo Bear
Boo boo
Boo boo was along for the ride and never in danger himself. He is the failthful companion of the pik-a-nic basket stealing Yogi Bear. Yogi would go to any length for a good lunch and thumbed his snout at authority. But Boo boo was always trying to keep his best friend Yogi out of trouble.
Robin "The Boy Wonder" Or Alfred The Butler?
Robin or Alfred?
Batman's (the Adam West version) sidekick was no slouch either. Robin could box and helped Batman put many a bad guy behind bars over and over again. Unfortunately because of his naivete Robin (Burt Ward) got Batman in more trouble then would have gotten into on his own.
On the other hand Alfred always knew just what needed to be done. When pushed he could wield a mean umbrella. Alfred was the real unspoken hero of the series. He was the 70+ year old thin and frail looking butler who knew everything and was the real mastermind behind many of Batman's successes and was the true brains of the operation!
Holy Gotham Batman that kid was alway getting tied up. Robin was the polite and soft spoken sidekick who always knew his place but often found himself facing overwhelming odds and needed Batman's help.
Who was more of a hero, Robin "The Boy Wonder "or Alfred "The Butler?

Gabrielle
Evan a Greek Warrior Princess needs a companion. For Xena it was Gabrielle. Gabrielle was helpless without Xena and really just slowed her down. Either evil lurked everywhere and always seemed to find Gabrielle no matter where she was or what she was doing, or Gabrielle was just so darn attractive that every warlord in the Greek world had to have her. Xena's affection for Gabrielle was obvious as from episode to episode Xena risked life and limb to save her hapless friend from the clutches of the evil men who desired to possess this fair maiden.
Babalouie
Babalouie
Was Quickdraw McGraw's level headed sidekick. He always tried to keep Quickdraw from making mistakes and putting himself in harm's way, but like any senseless hero Quickdraw flung himself into action often without thinking or even looking. Babalouie couldn't do anything but standby, watch and cringe as his mindless friend got in and out of trouble from episode to episode.
Bumblebee
Bumblebee
And now for my friend optimus grimlock I am adding Bumblebee to the list making the list 6 instead of 5 greatest sidekicks. Bumblebee was the ultimate sidekick (mostly because he couldn't speak) who followed his leader Optimus Prime into danger to save the earth from the evil Decepticons. Bumblebee was so dedicated and selfless that he sacrificed his legs (the only two he had) to save the world from utter destruction and mankind from slavery! Good call optimus grimlock and thanks for the input!
Kato
Kato
Sidekick and master of martial arts. Kato (played by Bruce Lee) never got hurt and always won the fight! He freed up his partner The Green Hornet to catch the fleeing bad guys right in the nick of time!
Mini-me or Frau Farbissina?
Dr Evil's Side Kicks
In the first Austin Powers movie it was Frau Farbissina who was Dr Evil's sidekick. Later it was Mini-me. But who was the better or in this case more rotten and evil Side Kick? Who did Dr Evil prefer to be with more? Was it Frau Farbissina or Mini-me?
Who was Mini-me? Mini-me is a clone of Dr Evil made by Frau Farbissina. This took place after the Doctor took off into orbit with his big boy cryogenic rocket ship. This was in order to avoid being caught by the great Austin Powers. The Frau made him before she knew she was pregnant with Dr Evil's son, Scott.
Something happened during the cloning process that made Mini-me unable to talk and put the 'mini' in Mini-me. But Mini-me was every bit as evil as the original Dr Evil. And all poor Scott ever wanted was love from his Evil Dad.
Frau Farbissina; The Evil accomplice and lover to Dr Evil. The good (or should I say bad) frau showed Dr Evil who was really in charge! She was mother to his only son Scott who was a bitter disappointment to Dr Evil because Scott Evil wasn't evil enough. Dr Evil and Mini-me wanted to kill Scot but like any good mom Frau Farbissina would not allow that to happen!

Great hub and thanks for sharing.
I now look forward to reading many more of yours.
Take care
Eiddwen.
Very Interesting..
My nickname is inspired by boo boo, so I'm partial but I would have to say, Alfred is the real brains of the Batman operation.
Yeah, my nickname is booboo.
